Yes, you read that right! In case you missed it, the massive alternative rock band, BRIT Awards nominated & Heavy Music Awards winner, Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) - performed last night at the legendary Hollywood Palladium!
To give context on this show, the metal, goth & alternative music festival in Las Vegas known as Sick New World, is happening tomorrow. As artists have done in previous years prior to the massive event, they've announced separate shows in much smaller spaces before heading to Las Vegas, & BMTH did too! Last month on the 11th, BMTH announced the show dubbed “DLC Expansion Pack,” in support of the SNW festival - but mainly for their “N. AMERICAN ASCENSION PROGRAM 2” tour, which kicks off in Canada on the 28th. Were you able to get tickets by the way? The venue holds about 4,000 & it was absolutely packed & sold out instantly!
Once the doors opened, fans from the very long line ran into the space to get as close as possible. Just after a few minutes honestly, the floor was getting pretty full! That's how awesome this event was going to be! Dying Wish, the metalcore quintet led by Emma Boster, opened up the show & prepped LA for the history that was going to be made. They performed songs like I don’t belong anywhere, symptoms of survival & Lost in the Fall. Then, about a quick half hour changeover, it was time for BMTH!
The opening of DArkSide began & the whole place sounded off, yelling every word with frontman Oli Sykes! BMTH performed songs like The house of wolves, Amen, Shadow Moses, Kingslayer, Follow You & Doomed! Additionally, Youtopia from their 7th studio album Post Human: Nex Gen made its live debut & a lucky fan was brought up onstage to sing Antivist! The night was filled with nothing but fun, energetic & hype vibes, big smoke being blown into the air from the stage, many crowdsurfers, lasers going off & to top it all off - confetti for all to cheer during Throne as the final send off!
