As a longtime fan of Ivan Cornejo, seeing him live again in San Diego for his Mirada Tour Parte 2 was more than just another concert; it was a full-circle moment. From fannin' out in the crowd at his first three shows to now being behind the lens and capturing his magic onstage, the journey has been unreal. I first met Ivan during the Danaado Tour, supported him through the Terapia Tour, vibed with him through Mirada Parte 1, and now I get to be a part of something even more special.

Ivan is part of the new wave of regional Mexican, alternative, Sierreno music artists who are reshaping the genre. He is part of the new wave and making history. At just 21 years old, and from Riverside, California he has become a standout voice in Sierreno and music. Cornejo first gained attention with his breakout song, "Esta Danada." Then, from there, he took off and became the amazing Ivan Cornejo! Ivan has collaborated with amazing artists like Peso Pluma, Becky G, Eslabon Armado, and more. He has released three albums already. His latest tour takes inspiration and aesthetic from Mirada released last year 2024. Ivan Cornejo can tell through his lyrics, songs, and even videos.

The night began with a beautiful set from Andrea Bejar, who popped into the show with amazing vocals and emotions that matched Ivan's tone and vibe perfectly. She set the mood for the night, warming up the crowd with her heartfelt performance.

When Ivan finally came on stage, the arena lit up with cheers. San Diego fans did not disappoint that night! It was loud! He opened the show with Donde Estas, and the crowd instantly went crazy and connected with him. Ivan Cornejo will have you crying even if you're not sad. Ivan's music has a strong connection and reliable moments. He performed songs like La Curisidad, Aqui Te Espero, Atencion, Baby Please, J., Vuelve, Sale Para Ser Feliz, Mirada, Tatuajes, and more. When Ivan performs the guitar from his band, and melodies create a vibe that is powerful, it makes you feel like Ivan is right in front of you even if you are sitting far away. Towards the end of the show, Ivan brought his band out to the stage to thank them.

Ivan Cornejo has a great selection of merchandise, including jackets, shirts, a plush astronaut, posters, and gats. The staff at Pechanga Arena were also amazing and super kind, it felt welcoming.

To top it all off, the night ended with a confetti drop during the final song, making the whole arena feel like we were part of something fun and unforgettable. It was the perfect way to close out a night filled with love, music, and memories.

Ivan Cornejo continues to prove that his music is more than just trending; it is timeless, emotional, and deeply personal. And for me, being able to go from fan to photographer, and experience this journey with him, will always hold a piece of my heart. Can't wait to see Ivan Cornejo return to San Diego.
