Then as My Chemical Romance came onto the stage the fans went wild. Their costumes are so intricate setting the tone for their music. They sang many hits off their 2006 album The Black Parade such as “Teenager” and “Famous Last Words” as well as newer remastered songs including “Planetary (GO!).”

In the middle of the concert lead singer, Gerard Way, had the audience interact in a short skit. The audience received paper signs while entering the venue that stated “Yea” or “Nay” to help take part in the scene. Gerard made it known to hold up yea as four actors were on the B stage up for “trial” and “yea” meant death. Pyros shot out as the crowd held up their “yea” signs. These signs and the band’s merch are in Keposhka font, created by Nate Piekos in collaboration with Gerard Way.

Super fans and sisters, Elaine Rasmussen and Ellie Del Fierro said this was their third time seeing My Chemical Romance live. Their favorite moment was when the whole band went to the B stage in the middle of Petco Park’s floor for the second half of the show and they were right at barricade singing along with joy. Elaine said “My favorite song is Vampire Money because it makes me DANCE!” Ellie’s favorite song is “I’m Not Okay.”

To further express the band‘s own creation of Draag fictional dystopian society they had soldiers and mysterious white masked actors enter the audience during a couple of songs. They truly make the concert interactive telling a dark narrative alongside their music. Between flames of fire and intense rocking out, My Chemical Romance puts on an insane show. They are a band you don’t want to miss live!
