The Weeknd's second night at Sofi Stadium was unforgettable. This Thursday show felt like stepping into a wild, emotional movie full of lights, sound, and a ton of energy from the crowd. The Weeknd had multiple sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA as part of his "After Hours Til Dawn" tour. These shows were scheduled from June 25-29, 2025. I was able to attend night 2 and closing night (Night 4). I can tell you it was a magical experience. From the second he stepped on stage, it was clear this wasn't just a concert it was more like an experience.
One amazing thing about this week's tour of The Weeknd is that the city of Inglewood issued a proclamation declaring June 25-29, 2025, as The Weeknd Week in the City of Inglewood.
Mike Dean started the night with an exciting new sound that set a cool, calm mood that feels like you're in The Weeknd cinematic universe. Then after that came Playboi Carti who brought chaos! His set was loud, wild, and full of energy, people were jumping and screaming as if they were at a rock show. Carti has such an amazing vibe he brings with him. He knows how to get the crowd hyped and loud. He performed songs like “FE!N” and "Timeless”.
After that, the Starboy himself aka The Weeknd came out, and the whole stadium exploded! He opened with “The Abyss”, "Wake Me Up”, "After Hours", and “Starboy" as the starter songs. Just from these four songs I just knew this was going to be an amazing experience and show to watch. As a fan, this is my second time attending The Weeknd concert. Last time it was a whole experience but this one brought it to another level. His setlist concluded with songs like “Take My Breath”, “Can't Feel My Face”, “Often”, “I Was Never There”, “The Hills”, “São Paulo”, “Creepin’”, “One of Them Girls”, “Out of Time”, “Stargirl Interlude”, “I Feel Like It Coming”, “Die For You”, “Call Out My Name”, “Blinding Lights”, “Reflections Laughing”, “House of Balloons”, and more. He closed with the song “Moth to a Fame", a collaboration between him and the Swedish House Mafia. He also brought Playboi Carti back out to perform their collaborations “Timeless” and "RATHER LIE". Also, Mike Dean joined The Weeknd through the entire stage show.
The stage and visuals were insane, smoke, fire, neon lights, and huge screen projections made everything feel like a movie. Each song had its vibe and look, and the whole show flowed smoothly from one track to the next. It felt like we were in a movie. The stage features a giant gold statue. When he performed songs like “São Paulo”, a collaboration with the Brazilian artist Anitta, the fire would come out! Before the show started The Weeknd also advertised his latest film as well.
The Weeknd showed once again why he's one of the best artists of our time. His voice sounded amazing the whole night, and the energy never dropped. From bangers like “Starboy" to other songs like “Out of Time" the setlist had something for everyone and for the OG Fans out there as well. Night 2 at Sofi was more than a concert; it was a full journey through love, heartbreak, and an amazing experience with a bunch of emotions. Every song performed you can feel the beat and his voice would give you goosebumps.
If you were there you would know how special it was. The Weeknd is a legendary artist with an amazing discography that can connect with everyone. Can’t wait for The Weeknd to do it again!
